Grand Cypress Golf Club

Our first choice over the many years we’ve been coming to Orlando for a relaxing golf getaway is Grand Cypress Golf Club. The choice of staying at the roomy Villas of Grand Cypress at the golf course or the iconic 1500-acre Hyatt Regency Resort with a private lake nearby is a most difficult one.  But

The National Course at Champions Gate Golf Resort

Champions Gate features two premier golf courses both designed by Greg Norman. Seldom are two sister courses side-by-side so different. The National Course is an American style course that winds through hundreds of acres of secluded woodlands, wetlands and former orange groves.

The International Course at Champions Gate Golf Resort

A coastal links-style, the International Course consists of wetlands, dunes, pot bunkers and tall natural grasses with water is visible on virtually every hole. While the International is challenging, it’s not as picturesque as its sister course – The National.

PGA National Champion Course

A Nicklaus layout, the Champions Course is known for the The Bear Trap – Holes 15,16 and 17 – perhaps the most diabolical three consecutive holes in golf. The resort is large, luxurious and legendary.

Green-side bunkers are extensive yet the North Course is less difficult than the South Course. Both courses are peppered with native saguaro cacti and rock formations.
